Ashley Rutherford, President

Ashley, Justice’s Mom, was born and raised in Washington, County. With the sadness and emptiness surrounding her loss of Justice, Ashley’s strength shined through and her drive to help the children of this community was born. With the help of her family and closest friends, Justice’s S.A.K.E. was created. Although still in its infancy, Justice’s S.A.K.E., under Ashley’s leadership, has grown each year and is beginning to make a difference in the lives of our community’s children. Ashley is the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Martins on Dual Highway. Ashley and her husband, Mike and their three sons Lucky, Jay and Pax live in Halfway. Most of Ashley’s time away from work is spent being a “Baseball Mom” and focusing on leading the Board of Justice’s S.A.K.E., Inc.

Richard "Nink" Myers, Jr., Vice President

Nink, Justice’s Grandfather, was heavily involved with the passing of Justice’s Law, which gives Maryland courts the right to sentence a convicted offender “up to life” in prison for child abuse resulting in death. He has been part of the local music scene for more than 20 years, which has introduced him to local musicians, and a genuine, big-hearted community. One of Nink’s biggest rolls in the foundation is organizing the annual Rock Me Don’t Shake Me - Musicians Against Child Abuse event. This fundraiser has outgrown every local venue available in Hagerstown and is now held outdoors with more than 1,300 in attendance yearly. Nink also serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Holly Place, an assisted living facility for the elderly. Nink has made it his mission to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves and believes he was put on this earth to strive to make a difference with the time he has been given.
