Court Appointed Special Advocates of Washington County provides advocacy services to children living/placed in foster care due to child abuse and neglect. We see the trauma and emotional distress, and bruises and physical outcomes of child maltreatment. Court Appointed Special Advocates of Washington County applauds and commends the Myers family for their dedication to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect, and financial support provided to our agency and many other services through its Rock Me – Don’t Shake Me music event. As a past recipient agency, Rock Me – Don’t Shake Me proceeds have provided educational, clothing, hygiene and recreational supplies, as well as birthday, graduation, and adoption celebration events for the youth we serve. The Rock Me – Don’t Shake Me event, and the Myers family and supporters of this event, provides important, positive contributions to improve child welfare in Washington County and our surrounding communities. Imagine approximately 125 children live in foster care every day in Washington County. Imagine all of them in standing ovation to the dedicated and tireless efforts taken to conduct this event.
